FAQ – Prorituals Dream Oil
Q1. What is Prorituals Dream Oil and what does it do?
Prorituals Dream Oil is a botanical oil treatment designed to restore essential fatty acids (EFAs) lost during coloring services and protect hair from free-radical damage. It nourishes, seals the cuticle, helps control frizz, and boosts softness and shine — ideal for achieving smooth, healthy-looking hair.
Q2. What hair types benefit most from Dream Oil?
Dream Oil is suitable for all hair types — from fine to coarse, natural, color-treated, chemically-processed, curly, wavy, or straight hair. Its balancing, nourishing formula helps especially dry, porous, frizz-prone or color-treated hair regain softness, manageability and shine.
Q3. What are the key ingredients and why are they important?
The formula includes several botanical oils such as castor seed oil, safflower seed oil, jojoba seed oil, and borage (starflower) seed oil. These oils supply essential fatty acids, deeply nourish the hair shaft, help seal the cuticle, and provide moisture and shine.
Additionally, the treatment is silicone-free, paraben-free, alcohol-free, and cruelty-free — making it favorable for stylists and clients seeking cleaner, salon-grade hair care.
Q4. Is Dream Oil suitable for color-treated or chemically treated hair?
Yes. Dream Oil was designed to replace EFAs lost during color or chemical services. It helps restore nourishment and seal the hair cuticle, which makes it very appropriate for color-treated, bleached, or otherwise chemically processed hair.
Q5. How should a stylist apply Dream Oil for best results?
-
As a finishing touch: After styling (blow-dry or flat iron), apply 2–4 drops of Dream Oil on the palms, emulsify, then run through mid-lengths to ends for shine, frizz control, and softness.
-
As a deep treatment: Mix Dream Oil with a conditioning or leave-in product or warm for a hot-oil treatment. Apply to shampooed, towel-dried hair, comb through, cover with a plastic cap and let sit (or apply low heat) to deeply nourish and seal the hair fibers.
-
As a “cocktail” with other stylers: Dream Oil works well combined with styling products (e.g., volumizers or texturizers) to add shine and smoothness without sacrificing volume or movement.
Q6. Will Dream Oil weigh the hair down or make it greasy?
No — because the formula uses balanced botanical oils and is silicone-free, Dream Oil tends to leave hair soft and lightweight rather than heavy or greasy. When used sparingly and distributed evenly (especially from mid-length to ends), it delivers nourishment and shine with a conditioned, natural finish.
Q7. What size is the product and is it professional-grade?
Dream Oil comes in a 4 fl. oz. (118 mL) bottle, which is standard for professional hair oil treatments. It is positioned as a salon-grade product — often sold through pro beauty distributors and aimed at licensed stylists and salon use.
Q8. When should a stylist choose Dream Oil over a regular serum or leave-in?
Choose Dream Oil when the goal is to:
-
Replenish lost essential fatty acids especially after color or chemical treatments
-
Deeply nourish, seal the cuticle and improve hair softness and manageability
-
Control frizz and add shine without silicones or heavy build-up
-
Offer clients a cleaner, lightweight oil option that also protects hair integrity
It’s especially useful as part of a maintenance or finishing routine — or as a restorative treatment between salon visits.
